FedEx Express to Increase 2008 Shipping Rates

FedEx Express to increase net average shipping rates by 4.9 percent in 2008. FedEx Ground will increase rates, specifics will be announced later this year.

On October 26, FedEx Express stated that they will increase their shipping rates by 4.9 percent in 2008. The net average 4.9 percent increase is from a 6.9 percent increase in shipping rates and a 2 percent reduction in the fuel surcharge. The new rates will be effective January 7, 2008.

The 2008 Ground rate will also increase and will be announced at a later point.
