CN Railroad Operating at Prince George Intermodal, Distribution Center

CN railroad has begun operations of its Intermodal, distribution center at the Prince George terminal.

The Prince George Port in Canada will help the Port of Prince Rupert demand by providing railway (only 8 hours by road from the port) throughout Canada and the US. With CN’s presence containers can be moved from the port to the US. 

CN imtermodal transportation has started operating at the Prince George Port in Canada with its intermodal and distribution center terminal. This Prince George Port may add backhaul traffic to Asia from North America. 

Senior Vice President of CN’s western region Jim Verna stated “The Prince George terminal operation will help to maximize the Port of Prince Rupert’s role as Canada’s newest Pacific gateway for containerized traffic moving between Asia and North America.” This port is the closest port to Asia by 58 hours of sailing time (compared to other west coast ports). CN will transport containers from the port to the South and Central Canada and the US Midwest.
