According to an annual study (Transportation Management Systems Outlook) conducted by ARC Advisory Group, Transportation Management Systems (TMS) have grown to over one billion dollars in 2006 and is anticipated to grow another seven percent in 2007. It is predicted that by 2011 the TMS market will grow to $1.5 billion. 

In the article is state the increase in the TMS market comes from “continued demand for global trade management applications, a reinvigorated market for fleet management services, an increase in sales to third-party (3PL) logistics services providers, and strong activity in Europe and in the small and midsize (SMB) business segment.”
