Container tariffs to raise in 2008

The container tariffs at the Waigaoqiao port and the Yangshan port will be increased by 10 percent and 21 percent respectively. With increasing tariffs will your transportation costs increase?

Starting January 1, 2008, the container tariffs will be increased to $74 per TEU at the Waigaoqiao port and $69 per TEU at the Yangshan port. With the prediction of Shanghai becoming the busiest container port in the world by 2008, the increased container tariffs will boost annual revenue by $119 million USD.
