Coors is committed to reduce greenhouse gas emission by 12 percent by 2010. As stated by Gregory Wade, Coors Brewing’s global chief supply chain officer, “reducing Coors’ green house gas emissions through the Climate Leaders program is both food for the environment and good for the company.” As part of the program, Coors will complete a carbon footprint analysis, set goals and create action plans to achieve their carbon emission goals, and report the progress annually to the EPA. Prior to joining the program, Coors has started cutting down energy consumption since 2005. In addition, Coors recycles 95% of the waste and sells nearly 3 million gallons of ethanol to gasoline refiners. | | |
