UPS contract with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters certified and approved

The new contract which runs though July 31, 2013 was completed yesterday for UPS employees who are part of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters reported to UPS that the new contract has been certified an improved. The contract covers 240,000 UPS employees. Last month the UPS National Master Agreement was approved with a 65% approval voting. 

Mike Eskew, chairman and CEO of UPS states, “we are excited to learn that everything now is in place to implement our agreement with the Teamsters.” The new contract addresses wage increases and contributions to healthcare and pension plans. The current contract does not expire till July 31, 2008. The new contract goes through July 31, 2013.
