Russia becoming a market for producing cars

PAS Peugot Citron announced that they will be opening a production facility in Russia in 2010. Other automakers are also planning to open production there too.

PSA Peugot Citron, a French auto maker, is building an assembly plant in Kaluga Russia, 75 miles south of Moscow.  The plant will open in 2010 and will produce 100,000 automobiles a year with the capacity of 300,000. 

Peugot stated "The new facility is central to PSA Peugeot Citroen's development strategy in Russia, considered to be a priority growth market."  Other automakers, such as Volvo, and Volkswagen are also going to produce in Russia.
