Four of the largest port cranes going to Georgia Port

Four cranes which can unload a container ship which has 22 containers wide are going to Garden City Terminal in Georgia.

Four of the largest port cranes in the world are going to Georgia Ports Authority's Garden City Terminal from China. The cranes are expected to arrive on February 10th, which is longer than usually due to they cannot go through the Panama Canal and have to go around South Africa.

The cranes cost $33 million and according to Robert Morris, director of external affairs for Georgia Ports “It's an investment that will begin paying dividends almost immediately.” These cranes can load and unload container ships which are up to 22 containers wide and are able to do it quicker than any other cranes. Four more cranes will be shipped in October to the Garden City Terminal.
