China team up with India

China will increase imports from India

At the China-India Economic, Trade and Investment Cooperation Summit yesterday, China and India both agreed to put efforts in narrowing the trade gap between the two countries by increasing Chinese imports from India 

In the first 11 months in 2007, China’s exports to India reached $21.61 billion but only $12.58 billion for imports. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh encourages companies to diversify and expand non-traditional exports. 

Additionally, China and India account for one-third of the global population, there will be other cooperation opportunities such as hydropower, tourism, finance, education and medical sectors.
