Binhai the new gateway to North China

The Binhai New Area will undergo a transformation to become an economic center by 2012

The Binhai New Area will undergo a series of crucial reforms in the next 5 years. The major reformation includes the construction of the Dongjiang Bonded Area, which will focus on international distribution, global procurement and export processing. In addition, Tianjin port, which is located in Binhai, will handle 15 million standard containers and reach a turnover of 450 million tons of goods by 2012.
