DHL increases capacity to meet the fast growing trade between China and the Philippines

DHL increased the air cargo capacity to 24 tonnes and payload capacity to 240 tonnes between Manila and Hong Kong

The total exports grew at a rate of 43.8 percent from the Philippines to China and 30.5 percent vice versa between 2000 and 2005. The trend continues to grow at a steady pace, and this increases a significant volume between Manila and Hong Kong. To meet the demand, DHL has increased the flight frequency via Air Hong Kong, which is a joint venture between Cathay Pacific and DHL, between Manila and Hong Kong from four to five times a week. As a result of the increased flights, the air cargo capacity will reach 24 tonnes and the payload capacity 240 tonnes.
