Sedan export doubled in 2007

China exported 188,600 sedans in 2007. Export and import of automobiles were up in 2007 from 2006 and are expected to grow in 2008.

In 2007 China exported 188,600 sedans which more than double of 2006.  The import and export of automobiles reached 66.9 million US dollars in 2007.  Exports were up 45.31 percent and imports were up 24.45 percent. 

China’s largest auto brand, Chery, experienced a 132 percent growth in exports in 2007, 119,800 units.  They forecast the 2008 exports to be at least 180,000 units. 


China
continues to increase its production of automobiles and will continually export cars to the rest of the world.
