| March 05, 2008 | | UPS improves many ground lanes to decrease the delivery time for packages moving between 8 states. | UPS will be reducing the time it takes to deliver ground packages between 12 million zip code pairings by at least one day. The change will affect 8 states, 70 markets and will speed up over 75,000 packages a day. States which will be affected by the lane enhancements are Colorado, Connecticut, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Montana, North Dakota, western Nebraska and Wyoming. Alan Gershenhorn, UPS senior vice president for worldwide sales and marketing stated “these latest service improvements, reducing transit time while delivering the same world-class UPS reliability, are another example of how we're continually helping companies of all sizes to conduct business more efficiently. Accelerated ground service means customers can get to market faster, turn inventory quicker and improve customer service.” | | |
