Temporary Fuel Shortages

China faces serious diesel and gasoline shortages

Fuel stations are struggling to get shipments from refiners as some are working 24 hours a day to wait for shipments. The government is stepping in to ensure there is enough supply by ordering oil companies to guarantee supplies, and then allowing them to increase price by 10 percent. China National Petroleum Corp. and Sinopec are currently importing thousands of gallons of diesel to expand refining capacity. Although the price will be up, the government told consumer not to panic as the prices are controlled by the government.
