Words of Wisdom from Speaker at CSCMP Conference in Shanghai
A speaker at the CSCMP educational conference in Shanghai recently provided the following words of wisdom regarding working with China Customs and with CCIB issues. The China Commodity Inspection Bureau (CCIB) is the Chinese government agency that is responsible for overseeing the inspection of imports and exports.

Golden Rules:

  • Anything you do can get you into trouble with China Customs.
  • Everything depends on relationships with Customs.
Words of Wisdom

  • Have a strong professional staff.
  • Simplify your options, then optimize.
  • Enable your suppliers to develop and develop with them.
  • Be realistic with your supply chain design since things don't change overnight.
  • Be educated about key environmental constraints.
