Are You Ready for the Increase in Import Prices?

Imports prices clime 1.8 percent in October, 6.9 percent for Petroleum.

How will the increasing price of Petroleum affect your business?  Will the cost of doing business sharply increase due to the rising import costs?  Understanding your logistics costs, especially your transportation costs, may help with the rising costs of fuel. 

According to a Labor Department report released today, US import prices have increased 1.8 percent in October.  This is more than double what was estimated.  Petroleum rose 6.9 percent, which is the largest rise since the 8.5 percent rise in March.  Petroleum has risen 41.4 percent in the past twelve month period.
