Dell participates in Carbon Disclosure Project

Dell has joined the Carbon Disclosure Project’s Supply Chain Leadership Collaboration (SCLC), providing its suppliers access to standard methodologies to report carbon emissions

Companies are increasingly aware of their carbon footprint and are looking for ways to moderate the negative environmental impact they create.

The Carbon Disclosure Project is an independent not-for-profit organization founded in 2000 to facilitate dialogue between companies and investors, supported by quality information, from which a rational response to climate change will emerge. The Carbon Disclosure Project is a special project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors in New York. The project studies and understands the implications for shareholder value and commercial operations presented by climate change.   On their behalf it seeks information on the business risks and opportunities presented by climate change and greenhouse gas emissions data from the world's largest companies.  In 2007, it evaluated data from 2,400 companies.
