DHL partners with Atlas Air

Atlas Air signs a three year contract with DHL to add two more 747s

DHL will have two new Boeing 747-400 freighters in operation this March. Crew, maintenance, and insurance will be included as part of the agreement with Atlas. Additionally, DHL will pay $150 million to purchase 49 percent stake of an Atlas subsidiary Polar Air Cargo Worldwide which will boost DHL’s access to aircraft capacity in major markets.
