European retailers aim to reduce carbon footprint

Fourteen retailers from the European Retail Round Table aim to reduce their energy consumption by 20% per square meter

Fourteen retailers from the European Retail Round Table, including Wal-Mart, H&M, Marks & Spencer, Tesco and others have agreed to reduce energy consumption.  They want to reduce their consumption by 20% per square meter in their commercial properties.  They are all going to work towards exceeding the EU’s goal of having 20% of energy come from renewable sources by 2020.

This is a big step in reducing their carbon footprint and shows a desire to help the environment.
