Pilot auto parts recovery program

In 2007, China produced 8.88 million motor vehicles and scrapped more than 3 million vehicles. The current annual renewable auto parts are value at 700 million yuan. Based on the current prediction, the auto population will reach 65 million by 2010 and increase the vehicle scrap rate to over 4 million annually. The annual demand will also reach 65 million yuan, which 3.8 billion worth of renewed products.  

The National Development and Reform Commission initiate the pilot auto parts recovery program aim to achieve sustainable development. Three auto markers and 11 parts manufacturers are participated.
