Ryder Solutions offers help for rising fuel costs

With the increasing prices of fuel, Ryder Solutions give advice to people on how to save and run a more efficient network.  They believe operating policies can be changed immediately to impact the costs.  Such changes include:

• Reducing the speed of the trucks.  By reducing 10mph from 65 to 55, a fleet can save as much as 22 percent in fuel efficiency
• Improve tire maintenance, correct pressure and alignment
• Use fuel efficient equipment.
