After a recent contract with Finland, Credit Suisse International and British firm Arreon Carbon signed a contract with China to purchase carbon credits by 2012

Credit Suisse International and Arreon Carbon will invest in emissions-cutting projects over the next two years. With the cooperation of the State Development and Investment Corporation, the two firms will cut carbon emissions at a highly-efficiency coal-burning plant. They will also invest in three wind power and a hydropower projects in provinces of <state w:st="on" />Gansu</state /> and <state w:st="on" /><place w:st="on" />Hebei</place /></state />. Eight million tones of carbon credits, which is currently trading at over 20 euros per tone, will be generated by 2012.
