        <Description>&lt;p&gt;The weather in the Midwest of the United States has affected shipments of fuel, food and other goods. &amp;nbsp;The weather has caused flood which have an effect on both the road and rail networks. &amp;nbsp;Union Pacific Corp, has six tracks which are out of service. &amp;nbsp;Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. is experiencing problems along their Mississippi River routes.&amp;nbsp;The delays and shutdowns are planned to last a week.&amp;nbsp;Passenger routes are also affected by the flooding.&amp;nbsp;Amtrak is reporting service problems between Chicago to San Francisco and Seattle.&amp;nbsp;Conway is reporting issue with regional service in Iowa.&amp;nbsp;Both UPS and FedEx plan for operations to return to normal early this week.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The weather is also affecting the soy and corn crops.&amp;nbsp;With fuel prices increasing the cost of food, will the damage to the crops also cause food the increase?&amp;nbsp;Many supply chains have been interrupted if not halted due to the severe weather in the Midwest. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Description>
